About Guadalupe:

For much of my adult life, my husband’s employer has moved us to different parts of the country and the world. While it’s been hard to be away from family and friends, it has been a wonderful experience living in and learning from different cultures.  We lived for a time in Nassau, Bahamas where I worked at the US Embassy for the US Navy as the Executive Assistant to the Navy Commander.  We coordinated the US military activities that took place on the islands of the Bahamas, which included humanitarian projects, special operations, and RR (rest and recreations visits) from navy ships coming from deployments.  I assisted military personnel with accommodations, and coordinated events (retirement parties, receptions, high level military visits). We loved living there and enjoyed seeing the beautiful crystal waters everyday as we drove the kids to school and work.

We also spent some time in Tempe, Arizona where I attended graduate school at Arizona State University and received my masters in Higher and Post-secondary Education. I also worked as a Program Advisor for a college preparatory program for underrepresented groups.  I loved working with the students and parents, and inspiring students to do their best as well as teaching parents how to best support their children through the university process as many of them had never attended college.

I also worked for the US Consulate General in Vancouver, British Columbia as the community liaison coordinator.  My job was to assist US government employees and their families with a smooth transition to their new post which included providing assistance with finding housing, choosing schools, medical info, and vent planning, among other things, I was their first point of contact.  For many of these families, it was their first time away from home or away from the U.S. so I made sure they received the information they needed and that I was available to them for any questions or concerns before and during their tour in Canada.

Recently, my family moved one last time to North County San Diego, making Vista our new home.  For the first time in many years we are near our two grown children and we couldn’t be happier!  We look forward to spending time as a family again.

I have aligned myself with Coastal Premier Properties because I resonated with their core values of putting clients first and working collaboratively with other agents inside and outside the company to achieve the best possible outcome for everyone.

I have chosen a career in real estate because it marries some of the best things from my previous work experiences. I absolutely love helping people through a transition period in their lives. It is important to me to ensure that people get the help they need. When people are happy, I feel satisfied that I have done my job to the best of my abilities.

Summertime Home Decor Inspiration

Here comes the sun! Summer is here and it’s time to give your home a facelift.  Nothing beats summertime and we have all the updates on what’s trending for home decor for this upcoming season! Here are some great ideas to give your home a more summer time environment:

  1. Floral Patterns

Display what you love. This home belonging to Vic Brotherson, owner of flower shop [link url="http://www.scarletandviolet.com/"]Scarlet & Violet[/link] is a testament to Vic's love of floral prints and textiles. Floral patterns are a big hit especially during the summer.  Whether it is a floral wallpaper, throw pillow or art, they all bring a sense of nature to a room. If you are considering this trendy look in your own home, now is the perfect time to make the decision!

2. Brass Accents

Pretty hood. If you're going to have something that screams hood, this is very pretty. I don't like the cabinet hardware.

Brass has an elegant look to it especially when the summer light hits it’s surface.  If you’re unsure about boarding the brass train, fixtures are a good way to tiptoe into the brass scene. They’re an easy and relatively inexpensive way to accessorize and update a room.

3. Animal Print

Nothing says hello summer like a living room spiced up with a few animal printed rugs or throw pillows. Try pairing multiple prints in the same color palette for a fun and cohesive look.

4.  Climbing Plants

Climbing plants have taken off in the year of 2018! Climbing plants may seem like more of an outdoor themed, but they bring a nice nature look inside. A winding, twisting plant indoors brings a warm environment in a person’s home as shown in this photo above.

5. Outdoor Lights

Hang Patio Lights across a backyard deck, outdoor living area or patio. Guide for how to hang patio lights and outdoor lighting design ideas.

Hanging lights outdoors creates a great ambiance for those enjoying the night time.  Those summer nights wouldn’t be as peaceful and relaxing without delightful lighting encompassing you.
